Sausage fest is a small restaurant located in Misato, Kumamoto, near the famous “Ishidan stairway”(3,333 stone steps, longest in Japan).  We offer “farm to table” organic food, homemade sausages, charcuterie , craft beer, classic and contemporary continental cuisine in relaxing environment by the river .We also plan to open small, beer brewery on site in the near future.


Ladislav Hajzman

Started his career in Czech Republic at the age of 16, moved to UK at the age of 20 and cut his teeth in London’s, West end’s kitchens.Focusing on “continental cuisine, mainly French.Worked the at various establishments in UK, honing his skills over the course of 5 years.Relocated to Japan in 2008.Spent 8 Years as a manager of the Ambassadors residence at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tokyo, Japan.Organising and overseeing thousands of events during his time there, with foreign dignitaries, members of royal and imperial families at regular attendance.After leaving the embassy, established “HBF-Japan”, specialising in hospitality business consulting, full service catering, event planning and management.In 2017 decided to start a new venture in rural Kumamoto, where he aims to further pursue his life-long passion for fine cuisine.
